Alright, let’s talk about volleyballs. You know, the official ones. I’ve been messing around with them lately, and here’s how it went down.

First off, I went looking for where to get one. Not just any volleyball, mind you, but the real deal. I ended up browsing a bunch of local sports shops. Prices? They were all over the place, ranging from, like, 26 bucks to almost 40. Different brands, different feels, but they all seemed pretty legit.
I picked one up that felt good in my hands – not too hard, not too soft. Paid about 30 bucks for it, which seemed fair. I mean, it’s supposed to be the official kind, so I figured it’s worth the few extra dollars. You always think the prices will be inflated but no, it’s actually within an acceptable range.
Next, I wanted to see what this ball was really about. I started playing and it is perfect! After a few games, I felt like the purchase was worth it.
So, after all that playing and comparing, what did I figure out? Well, these official volleyballs, they’re pretty much what you’d expect. They bounce right, they feel right when you hit ’em, and they last a decent amount of time. I even tried pumping it up a bit more and deflating it a little to see how it changed things. Too much air and it’s like hitting a rock. Too little, and it’s all floppy.
In the end, I got used to it, I had fun playing volleyball. It’s nothing fancy, but that’s just my two cents on the whole official volleyball thing.
