Okay, so, I’ve got a story to tell about my time with beach volleyball in Qatar. It all started when I heard about this cool event for kids. They called it a “two-hour activation” where the little ones could get into some volleyball action. I thought, “Why not check it out?” So, I went there and saw all these kids having a blast, playing and learning about volleyball. It was really something to see their energy and enthusiasm.
This was all happening until December 3, 2022, and I learned it was part of a bigger thing leading up to the Beach Pro Tour Finals. I stuck around for that too, because, hey, who doesn’t love a good final? The vibe was electric, especially when the Queen and King of the Court Finals hit the Aspire Zone from December 12-14. I watched, I cheered, and I got totally caught up in the excitement.
After all the champions were crowned, everyone started talking about the next big thing, the Beach Pro Tour 2023. I made a mental note to keep an eye out for that. It seemed like it was going to be huge.
I also did a bit of digging and found out about the Qatar women’s national volleyball team. They’ve done pretty well, coming in as runners-up a couple of times in some big games. It’s always cool to see a local team making their mark.
- I watched some games on Volleyball World TV.
- It’s got tons of volleyball content, live games, and behind-the-scenes stuff.
- I was hooked, watching matches and learning more about the sport.
Then there’s the AVP, which I found out is all about giving opportunities to all kinds of players, from young ones to the pros. They’re really trying to grow volleyball, and I think that’s awesome.
So that’s my story. I got to see some great volleyball, learned a lot, and had a fantastic time in Qatar. It was an experience I won’t forget anytime soon.
