Well, let me tell you, back in my day, we didn’t have fancy things like PlayStation 4. We played volleyball with a real ball and a real net, outside, in the dirt! But my grandkids, they love these video games. They keep talkin’ about volleyball games for PS4. So, I had to figure out what all the fuss is about.
What’s a PS4 Anyway?
First off, this PS4 thing, it’s a box. A magic box, they say. You hook it up to your TV, and it’s like a whole different world in there. This PlayStation 4 was made by some company called Sony. Seems like they made a lot of money on these things. Released in November, they say. My grandkid got his for Christmas.
These Volleyball Games
Now, about these volleyball games. They ain’t like real volleyball, not one bit. You don’t get all sweaty and dirty. You just sit there, pressin’ buttons. But the young’uns, they love it. Says there are games like Spike Volleyball, this one looks more like the game they play outside. They say it’s one of the best. But it is a little old looking, still fun though.
- Spike Volleyball: This one seems popular. They jump and hit the ball, just like real volleyball.
There’s another one called Super Volley Blast. I guess it’s not just for PS4, you can play on other boxes. It’s a simple game, they say, easy to learn. If you want to play a volleyball game on your PS4, this one’s a good start.
- Super Volley Blast: This one’s easier, they say. Good for beginners.
- There is also Super Sports Blast, it is just like Super Volley Blast, but you can play other sports too.
How These Games Work
From what I can tell, you gotta learn the buttons. Each button does somethin’ different. One to jump, one to hit, one to, I don’t know, do a fancy move. They got all sorts of rules in these games too. Just like the real thing, but more complicated, if you ask me.
It is just like regular volleyball, there are points and sets. They say indoor volleyball is best three out of five sets. The first four sets go to 25 points, and the last one goes to 15. Beach volleyball, that’s different. Best two out of three sets. First two sets go to 21 points, and the last one is 15, too. Gotta win by two points, though. That’s what my grandson told me. He’s a smart boy, that one. It just like what the reference said about volleyball games.
Are These Games Any Good?
Well, they ain’t the same as playing real volleyball, that’s for sure. But they keep the kids entertained. And it’s better than them runnin’ around causin’ trouble, I reckon. Plus, they seem to be learnin’ somethin’ about teamwork and strategy, even if it is just a video game. Some people say Spike Volleyball isn’t great. Something about the graphics and how the players move. But the kids don’t seem to mind. I guess if you love volleyball, there is something to learn, that’s what the reference said.
Back in my days, the only games we played are the ones outside. But hey, these kids love their PS4 volleyball games. They can play with their friends, even if they’re not in the same room. It’s all very strange to me, but as long as they’re happy, I’m happy. I’ve seen them play other games, but the volleyball games for PS4, those are their favorites. They even got me to try it once! It was confusing, but we had a good laugh.
So, if you’re lookin’ for a volleyball game for PS4, there are a few out there. Just don’t expect it to be like the real thing. It’s all buttons and screens, not sweat and dirt. But who knows, maybe you’ll like it. My grandkids sure do. They say there are many volleyball video games out there. From old games to new games. I don’t know them all.
