Alright, let’s talk about getting that volleyball mode going in Rocket League. I wanted to try something different, you know, spice things up a bit. So I went hunting for this volleyball map everyone was talking about.

Finding the Code
First thing I did was just straight-up search online. I typed in “rocket league volleyball map code” and a bunch of stuff popped up. Different forums, some videos, all that jazz. It took a bit of digging, but I finally found some codes that looked promising.
Getting into the Game (Epic Games Version)
So, I’ve got the code. Now what? I’m playing on PC through Epic Games, so this is how I did it:
- I fired up Rocket League. You know, the usual loading screen, music, all that.
- Then I went to “Play” and chose “Custom Games”.
- I picked “Private Match” – didn’t want any random people crashing my volleyball experiment!
- Clicked on “Create Private Match”.
- Here’s the important part: I went into the “Mutator Settings”. Changed the Game mode to “Dropshot”.
- Also under “Mutator Settings” I tweaked: Ball Type to “Cube”. Ball Max Speed to “Fast”, Ball Bounciness to “High”
- Now back to main “Create Private Match” screen, I gave my match a name and, this is key, entered the map code I found.
- Hit “Create Match”, and waited for it to load up.
Tweaking the Settings (Important!)
The first time, it was kinda… wonky. The ball was weird, the physics were off. So I had to mess around with the settings. I remember going back into those “Mutator Settings” a few times.
I am pretty sure I upped the ball bounciness. I definitely made sure the ball speed was set to fast. After a few tries, I got it to feel pretty good. Like, actual volleyball-ish, you know?
Finally, Playing!
Once I got the settings right, it was actually pretty fun! It’s definitely different from regular Rocket League. You gotta think more about positioning and timing, not just boosting around like a maniac. It took some getting used to, but hey, that’s part of the fun, right?
So yeah, that’s how I got volleyball working in Rocket League. It’s not perfect, but it’s a cool change of pace. Took some trial and error with those codes and settings, for sure, so, be prepared to play with the settings a bunch.
