Okay, so, it’s already week four of messing around with my FAAB, and man, time flies when you’re having fun, right? Or at least when you’re trying not to blow your whole budget in the first few weeks. This week, I really started to see how important it is to be smart about this whole thing from the get-go.

I decided to grab this guy, Kmet, ’cause everyone’s been saying he’s doing pretty well with the Bears. Spent like 15% of my budget on him. Feels like a lot, but I’m betting it’ll pay off. The thing is, you gotta use this FAAB stuff early. It’s like, the longer you wait, the less it’s worth, you know?
Looked around at some advice online, just to see what other folks are doing. Found this one bit from some guy named Nick Mariano, talking about how much to bid on waivers and stuff. It’s all about balancing what you need now with what you might need later. Tricky stuff.
- Started the week checking out my roster, seeing where I needed a boost.
- Made a list of players I was eyeing, Kmet being one of them.
- Compared my list with what experts were saying, just to get a feel.
- Placed my bids, making sure not to go overboard.
- Ended up getting Kmet, so that’s a win, I guess.
It’s a whole process, this FAAB thing. You plan, you research, you bid, and then you wait and see. It’s kinda fun, actually. Like a mini-game within the bigger game. But it’s also super important if you want to do well.
So, yeah, that was my week four with FAAB. Learned a lot, spent some, and hopefully set myself up for some wins down the line. We’ll see how it all plays out, but so far, so good.
