Today, I wanna talk about my experience with Roland, especially their electronic musical instruments. It’s been a wild ride, let me tell ya.

Getting Started
First off, I started messing around with the Roland FP-10. Man, that thing is sweet! The keys feel real good, and the sound is just amazing. I played that thing for hours every day. I didn’t even think about getting a different keyboard for a long long time.
Diving Deeper
Then, I got my hands on an RD 2000. That was a whole different level. Luckily, I found some old videos from a guy named Ed Diaz, showing how to use it. That guy made everything so easy. I learned a ton from those videos. Big thanks to Ed, wherever you are!
- Seriously, those tutorials were a lifesaver.
- I spent days just watching and practicing.
Gear Talk
For headphones, I’ve been using the Sennheiser HD-280 PRO with my Roland TD17. They’re super comfy, even when I’m drumming for hours. They sound great with the electronic drums, too. No complaints there.
Experimenting More
I also played around with the MC-101. Found a cool website some dude made with a bunch of shortcuts and tips. It’s got like, over 80 tips and it was made to be good on mobile. It helped me out a lot.
Beat Making
Oh, and I tried the Roland P-6 for making beats. That thing has some crazy features. I learned about granular synthesis and sequencing each step, it was pretty wild. I was able to make some really cool sounds with it. And I have to say I really like it.
For the Newbies
If you’re just starting out with electronic drums, Roland has some great options. I heard their V-drums are awesome for beginners. Also the GO: KEYS are a good choice if you want something fun and easy to start playing music on.

Pro Stuff
Then there’s the Roland TM-6 Pro. This thing is a beast! It’s got tons of sounds, like 80 preset kits from the TD-50 and a bunch of other sounds. Those one-shot sounds are really good. Very nice stuff, I have to say.
So yeah, that’s my Roland story so far. It’s been a lot of fun, and I’ve learned so much. If you’re into electronic music, definitely check out Roland’s stuff. You won’t regret it!
