Alright, so the other day I was digging around for some Telugu movies on DVD, and I remembered this company, KAD Entertainment. They’ve been around for a while, and I’ve always been curious about their stuff.

So, I started poking around, and it turns out they’re pretty big in the Telugu film scene. They’re not just some small-time DVD maker, oh no! KAD Entertainment is a major player in producing and distributing Telugu films, like seriously big.
- They were the first ones to actually distribute Telugu films all the way to African countries. How wild is that?
- They’ve distributed over 50 Telugu films worldwide and released like 500 films on DVD. That’s a ton of movies!
Diving Deeper into Their Filmography
I decided to check out some of the films they’ve been involved with. Their distributor filmography is quite impressive, I found a couple of titles that caught my eye, like “Maska” from 2009, and “Parugu” from 2008. They were involved in distributing these films worldwide, which is pretty cool.
And then, there’s their production side. I saw they were the production company behind “Stalin” in 2006. That’s a big one. It really shows they’re not just about DVDs; they’re deeply involved in the whole filmmaking process. I was impressed.
Exploring the DVD Collection
Of course, I had to check out their DVD collection. I was mostly looking for something to watch on a lazy weekend. I found that they have a huge selection, and it’s not just recent stuff. There are classics in there too. This made me think they really cater to all kinds of Telugu cinema fans, which I think is fantastic.
“Kalki: 2898 AD” – A Game Changer?
Now, here’s something that really got me excited. I heard about this upcoming sci-fi film called “Kalki: 2898 AD”. It’s set 6000 years after the Kurukshetra War, in a post-apocalyptic world. Sounds epic, right? And it’s a Telugu production! I heard if this movie hits it big, it could change Indian cinema forever. The story is set in 2898 AD, where the last city, Kasi, is ruled by a totalitarian god-king, Supreme Yaskin. This guy rules from a floating megastructure called the ‘Complex’.
I learned that the film has already grossed over Rs 900 crore. People are saying that even though it’s a Telugu production, the Hindi dubbed version is doing great. And you can watch it in its original Telugu, with dubs in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. It’s supposed to be released soon, and I’m really pumped to see it!

So, yeah, that’s my little adventure with KAD Entertainment and Telugu DVDs. It turned out to be way more interesting than I expected. I ended up learning a lot about Telugu cinema and even found a cool new movie to look forward to. I realized that KAD Entertainment has played a big role in bringing Telugu cinema to a wider audience, and that’s something I really appreciate as a fan of movies. It felt good to support a company that’s doing so much for the industry.
