Okay, so, let me tell you about this volleyball game I went to. It was a Nebraska Cornhuskers game, those Huskers sure are popular around here!

First thing I did was look for tickets. You wouldn’t believe the prices! Standing room only was going for over 200 bucks. That’s nuts! I managed to find a designated seat, but let me tell you, it was still pretty expensive. I saw something online about student tickets, but I’m way past my student days. This wasn’t just any volleyball game, though. It turns out these Huskers games are big money-makers. I read somewhere that their volleyball program brought in over $4 million in revenue last year. Can you believe that?
Anyway, I bit the bullet and bought the ticket. Getting to the game was easy, I parked a few blocks away and walked over. The atmosphere was electric, everyone was decked out in red and white. Inside, the place was packed. People were excited, you could feel the energy.
- The game started, and wow, those Huskers can play! They were diving all over the place, making some incredible saves.
- I learned a bit about the rules too, apparently. They play best of five sets, with the first four sets going to 25 points, and you gotta win by two.
- The fifth set, if they need it, only goes to 15. It was a close game, but the Huskers pulled it off!
It was a blast! The crowd went wild, and everyone was cheering. Even though it cost me a pretty penny, it was a fun experience. I’m not sure I’ll be a regular, but I can definitely see why these games are so popular.
After the game, I joined the mass exodus of people heading out. Getting out of the parking area was a bit of a hassle, but hey, that’s part of the experience, right? I grabbed some food on the way home, replaying some of the best moments of the game in my head. What a night!
