Okay, so, let me tell you about my little adventure trying to catch some sitting volleyball action from the Paris 2024 Paralympics. I’ve always been fascinated by the Paralympics, and sitting volleyball, in particular, just blows my mind with how intense and fast-paced it is. So, I thought, why not try to see it live this year?

First thing I did was hop online to see if I could snag some tickets. Yeah, that was a big no-go. Turns out, getting tickets to these events is like trying to find a needle in a haystack – basically impossible if you didn’t plan way ahead. Lesson learned there, for sure.
Undeterred, I started digging around for other ways to watch. I found out that some channels, like USA and CNBC, were going to broadcast it, and it was also going to be streamed on Peacock and some NBC platforms. Great, I thought, I’ve got options!
Then I remembered reading somewhere that sitting volleyball started way back in the 1950s in the Netherlands, originally as a rehab sport for injured soldiers. How cool is that? It became an official Paralympic sport for men in 1980. I always love learning the history behind these sports.
Since I’m in the U.S. and didn’t have cable TV at that moment, so my best bet was probably going to be streaming. I checked out the schedules on the official Paralympic website and jotted down the dates – August 28 to September 8, perfect.
I also heard that some folks were using services like Channel 4 in the U.K. or 9Now in Australia to watch the Paralympics for free. But using these services often required a 加速器 and I don’t have one, so I didn’t go down that road.
So, here’s what I did:

- Checked for tickets – major fail, but hey, I tried.
- Explored broadcasting options – found out about USA, CNBC, Peacock, and NBC platforms.
- Dug into the history – learned it started in the Netherlands in 1956, pretty neat.
- Pinned down the dates – August 28 to September 8, marked on my calendar.
- Looked into free streaming options – found some possibilities, but it seemed a bit complicated.
In the end, I’m all set to stream the games, thanks to the info I found. It’s going to be awesome to watch these incredible athletes in action. If you’re into sports, especially ones that are a bit different and super inspiring, definitely check out sitting volleyball. It’s a wild ride!
And that’s my story about how I stumbled through trying to watch the Paralympic sitting volleyball games. It’s been a fun little journey of discovery, and I can’t wait to see the matches!
