Okay, so today I messed around with that “just a game volleyball” thing. It’s exactly what it sounds like – a super simple volleyball game. I figured, why not give it a shot? Here’s how it went down.

Getting Started
First, I downloaded the game. It was pretty easy to find, I think from one of the well-known game stores. Nothing fancy, just clicked the install button and waited. Took a few minutes because, you know, my internet can be a bit slow sometimes.
Figuring it Out
Once it was installed, I fired it up. The main menu was super basic. Big “Play” button, a settings cogwheel, and that’s pretty much it. I jumped straight into a game without messing with any settings first – I like to live dangerously, haha.
Playing the Game
- Controls: Really simple. Just use the arrow keys to move left and right, and the spacebar to jump and hit the ball. No complicated combos or anything.
- Gameplay: It’s, well, volleyball. You try to get the ball over the net and make it land on the other team’s side. They try to do the same. First to a certain number of points wins.
- First Few Matches: I got my butt kicked. Seriously. The AI was way better than I expected. I was flailing around, missing the ball, hitting it out of bounds… it was a mess.
Practice Makes Perfect?
After a few embarrassing losses, I started to get the hang of it. I figured out the timing of the jumps a little better, and started to anticipate where the ball was going to go. I even managed to win a few rounds! Still not great, but definitely improving.
Adjusting the settings
Then I went into the setting, and changed the difficulty, at first I play with the “hard” mode, I thought that will make me excited, and I’m wrong, switch to “easy” is best for me, because I just play it for fun, not to be a pro volleyball player.
Final Thoughts
Honestly, “just a game volleyball” is surprisingly addictive. It’s so simple, but it’s still fun to try and beat the computer. It’s not going to win any awards for graphics or complexity, but it’s a good way to kill a few minutes. Might keep it on my computer for those times when I need a quick break. And who knows, maybe I’ll actually get good at it eventually!
