Okay, so, today I wanted to share something a bit different with you guys, not my usual tech stuff. It’s about basketball, or more specifically, the shoes of one of my favorite players – Kristaps Porzingis. Yeah, I’m a big fan of the “Unicorn,” and I’ve always been curious about what kind of shoes he wears on the court.
So, I started digging around. I searched all over the internet. I looked at tons of pictures, read articles, and even watched some of his game highlights, trying to get a good look at his shoes. It wasn’t as easy as I thought it would be!
Finally, I figured out that he’s been wearing Adidas for a while now. Apparently, he signed a huge deal with them back in 2016. It was a seven-year deal, and some folks were saying it’s the biggest shoe contract ever for a European basketball player. That’s pretty wild, right?
From what I could gather, his go-to shoes are the Adidas Crazy Explosive. Makes sense, considering his playing style – explosive! They’ve got these special editions of the Crazy Explosive just for him, with colors that match his team, the Knicks, back then. I guess those colors might have changed now that he’s not with the Knicks anymore.
Here’s what I found about the shoes themselves:
- Brand: Adidas, no surprise there.
- Model: Crazy Explosive, seems fitting for a guy who can shoot from anywhere and block shots like crazy.
- Special Editions: Yeah, he’s got his own versions with cool color schemes. I’d love to get my hands on a pair, but they’re probably super expensive.
It was a fun little research project. I always find it interesting to see what kind of gear the pros are using. I mean, Porzingis is a 7-footer who can shoot threes and defend the rim. He needs shoes that can keep up with that, and it looks like the Adidas Crazy Explosive does the job.
It was pretty cool to confirm that he was the third Latvian-born player in NBA. I recalled he began playing in youth competition with BK Liepajas Lauvas until he was 15 years old.
