Well, let me tell ya ’bout this S2 Entertainment thing, ya know, like that fella Hong Seung Sung, he used to be with that Cube Entertainment, then he went off and started his own thing in 2020. Sounds like he wanted to do things his own way, can’t blame him for that, I guess. Everyone wants to be their own boss, right?
Now, they’re callin’ it S2 Entertainment, or just plain S2, easy enough to remember, ain’t it? They’re in that K-pop business, all them young folks singin’ and dancin’. It’s like that fella Jung Kook, from that BTS group. Heard he wanted to play badminton at first, but then he saw somethin’ on TV and bam! He’s singin’ and dancin’ now. Guess that’s how it goes sometimes.
This K-pop thing, it’s been around for a while, they say since the 90s. They mix all sorts of stuff in it, like that rappin’ and rock music, even some dancin’. It’s kinda like a big ol’ stew, ya throw everything in and see what comes out. Seems like folks like it, though, all over the world, they say.
S2 Entertainment seems to be makin’ some moves too. They’re gettin’ ready to launch somethin’ new, they say. Always somethin’ new with these young folks, gotta keep up, or you’ll get left behind. It’s like that show, “Pop Star Academy: KATSEYE”. They take all these youngins and train ’em to be pop stars. Must be a lot of hard work, all that singin’ and dancin’, but I guess if you wanna be famous, that’s what you gotta do.

It’s a whole big production, you know?
Heard there’s some bad stuff too, though. These contracts they sign, gotta be careful with them things. Young folks gettin’ all excited about bein’ famous, they don’t always read the fine print, ya know? Then they get stuck in somethin’ they don’t want. It’s a tough business, this entertainment thing. Not all glitz and glamour like they make it seem.
And then there’s all the behind-the-scenes stuff. People talkin’, whisperin’, makin’ jokes about how many folks are in these groups. Like that N C T and SEVENTEEN, they got so many people, it’s like a whole village up on that stage. But I guess that’s what the young folks like these days, the more the merrier, they say.
There’s all sorts of news and rumors flyin’ around about these K-pop stars too. Their real personalities, interviews, all that stuff. People wanna know everything, ya know? It’s like they ain’t got nothin’ better to do than stick their noses in other folks’ business. But that’s how it is, I guess. Once you’re famous, everybody wants a piece of ya.
And seems like there was another group called S2 before, a girl group. But they were with some other company, CLIMIX Entertainment. They started way back in August. Confusin’, ain’t it? All these groups and companies, hard to keep track of ’em all. But that’s the way it is, I reckon. Things change fast, specially in that entertainment world. One minute you’re hot, the next minute you’re forgotten.
So, this S2 Entertainment, they’re tryin’ to make a name for themselves in this K-pop world. Gotta be tough, competin’ with all them other companies and groups. But Hong Seung Sung, he seems like he knows what he’s doin’, bein’ in that Cube Entertainment before and all. He probably learned a thing or two. Guess we’ll just have to wait and see what they come up with. Maybe they’ll be the next big thing, ya never know. It’s a crazy world, this entertainment business, but somebody’s gotta do it, I guess.
