Alright, so, I decided to get myself some new sport shorts. I’ve been meaning to up my workout game, and honestly, my old shorts were, well, let’s just say they’d seen better days. So, I figured, time for an upgrade. It’s not just about looking good, but feeling good, right?

First things first, I needed to figure out where to even start looking. I mean, there are so many options out there. I remembered that Macy’s always has a decent selection of stuff, and I found some sport shorts for man online. I thought, “Why not check out Macy’s online?” Plus, they were advertising free shipping, which is always a bonus. Then I also came across Nordstrom, I know they have top brands, so I took a look at their website.
But then a friend of mine suggested checking out DICK’s Sporting Goods. He’s a real fitness buff and said they have a ton of options from brands like Nike and Under Armour. Sounded promising, so I hit up their website too. I browsed through a bunch of different styles and brands. I was mainly looking for something that was comfortable, breathable, and wouldn’t ride up when I’m running or doing squats.
After some back and forth, I narrowed it down to a few pairs that caught my eye. I noticed a pair of Nike Dri-FIT shorts that were on sale, and I had a good experience with this material, it’s pretty awesome for wicking away sweat. There were also a few from Under Armour that looked pretty solid. The price is affordable, most of them are around $40, and some of them were even 25% off.
I ended up ordering a couple of different pairs to try on at home. I figured it’s the best way to see how they actually fit and feel. One was a pair of Nike Men’s Dri-FIT, like I mentioned before, and the other was a pair of Under Armour shorts that had good reviews.
When they arrived, I tried them both on, did a few test runs and stretches in my living room. The Nike ones were super lightweight and felt really comfortable. The Under Armour pair was a bit more snug but still allowed for a good range of motion. I also found other brands’ sport shorts at the store, and they offer tops and hoodies as well. They even had a section for sports bras, which, you know, wasn’t relevant to me but good to know they cater to everyone.
In the end, I decided to keep both pairs. I mean, you can never have too many workout shorts, right? Plus, they were both comfortable in their own way, and I could see myself using them for different types of workouts.

Here’s what I learned from this whole experience:
- Shopping online is convenient, but trying things on is still important.
- Don’t be afraid to check out different stores and brands.
- Sales are your friend, especially when you are buying the sport shorts.
- Comfort is key when it comes to workout gear.
- Having a friend who’s into fitness can be super helpful.
So yeah, that’s my sport shorts saga. I’m pretty happy with my purchases, and I’m looking forward to breaking them in at the gym. Or, you know, on my living room floor. No judgment here.
