Today I was messing around with some music stuff, and I figured I’d share my little project with y’all. It’s nothing too fancy, just a simple playlist I’ve been working on. The working title was “music entertainment 20784,” but that’s just a placeholder for now.

I started by going through my usual music apps. I have a bunch of them. Then I opened Spotify and checked out some of the top charts there. I noticed that “Die With A Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga was all over the place, so I added that to the list. Also, “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” by Billie was popping up a lot, so that went in there too.
After that, I switched to another music chart site that ranks artists by album sales and whatnot. I browsed through it for a while, and since I couldn’t find any better source than LUMINATE, I decided to use it. It was pretty overwhelming, but I managed to pick out a few tracks that seemed interesting from various genres.
Then I remembered this other site that had a list of the 50 best songs of the year. It had some big names like Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, and Adele. So, I added a couple of tracks from that list to my playlist. Also, I threw in some songs by rising stars like Clairo and Arooj Aftab ’cause I’ve been digging their stuff lately.
- Die With A Smile – Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga
- BIRDS OF A FEATHER – Billie
- Some songs from Taylor Swift, Lil Nas X, Adele, Little Simz, Tyler, the Creator
- Something by Clairo and Arooj Aftab
- A few K-pop songs from aespa (에스파)
I also wanted to include some lounge music ’cause who doesn’t love a good chill-out session? I found a site that had a list of top lounge tracks voted by listeners, so I picked a few from there too.
So yeah, that’s pretty much it. I ended up with a playlist that’s a mix of popular hits, some indie stuff, and a bit of everything in between. It’s still a work in progress, but I think it’s shaping up nicely. I might even add some more K-pop ’cause I’ve been getting into aespa (에스파) lately. I spent a good chunk of the day on this, and it was a lot of fun. Music is such a great way to pass the time, you know?
I listened through the whole thing a couple of times, and I gotta say, it’s a pretty solid mix. I think I’ll keep tweaking it over the next few days, maybe add some more tracks, remove some others. We’ll see how it goes. I might share it online when it’s done if anyone’s interested. I also think about using the information from rap getting brasher and noisier, to online scenes blossoming during quarantine to make a video or add some elements.

What I Learned
It was a fun little project, and I learned that making a playlist is harder than it looks. There’s a lot of good music out there, and it’s tough to narrow it down. But it’s also super rewarding to create something that you can enjoy and share with others. I also found some new artists that I’m really into, so that’s a plus. And it reminded me how much I love music and how it can bring people together, even if it’s just through a simple playlist.
Anyway, that’s my music adventure for today. Hope you enjoyed reading about it. Let me know if you have any song suggestions or if you want to share your own playlists. I’m always looking for new music to discover!
