This here’s about that volleyball game on PS2. You know, that game console thingamajig the young’uns are always playing. My grandkids, they got one, and they’re always yelling about spiking and setting and whatnot. Sounds like a whole lotta hootin’ and hollerin’ to me, but they seem to like it.

So, this game, it’s like real volleyball, they say. You got your teams, and you gotta hit that ball over the net. They say it’s got all the speed and intensity, just like the real thing. I seen volleyball on the TV a few times. Looks tiring, all that jumping and diving.
Gettin’ Points and Winning
Now, how you win this thing? Well, seems like you gotta get points. Like, a lot of points. They say 25 points to win a game, but sometimes just 15 points. And you gotta win by two, at least. Sounds complicated, but I guess it makes it more excitin’.
- Gotta get 25 points, usually.
- Sometimes just 15.
- Gotta win by 2 points.
They talk about something called a “set”. Now, I thought a set was like when you put out your good dishes for company. But in this game, a “set” is also when you hit the ball up in the air real nice so someone else can smack it down. And it’s also like a part of the game, like innings in baseball. You gotta win three of these “sets” to win the whole shebang.
Pickin’ Your Team
You get to pick what country you wanna be. There’s like, a dozen of ’em, they say. You can be any of them twelve countries and try to be the best. Imagine that, playin’ for a whole country! In a video game! The world is a strange place
And get this, you can even make your own team! You can train ’em up and make ’em good at this or that. It is like them baseball cards, you know, where you want certain players with certain skills, only it is moving pictures on a screen. I reckon that’s somethin’ the young folks really enjoy, being the boss and tellin’ everyone what to do.
They say you gotta manage your team. Sounds like a lot of work to me. I always managed my chickens just fine. This is players on and off the court. Keep ’em happy, keep ’em playin’ good.

Is It Any Good?
Well, I ain’t played it myself, mind you. But my grandkids, they sure do love it. They say it is the best volleyball game. They’re always going on about how real it feels. I guess if you like volleyball, this is the game for you.
Seems like there’s a whole bunch of these volleyball video games out there. But this one, the one for the PS2, that’s the one they’re all talkin’ about. This Women’s Volleyball Championship, that’s what it’s called. That’s a mouthful. I don’t know why everything has to have such a long name these days.
I seen ’em playin’, and it looks kinda fun, I suppose. Lots of action, lots of colors. And they’re always laughin’ and yellin’, so it must be a good time. Maybe I’ll give it a try sometime. Or maybe I’ll just stick to watchin’ my soaps.
It Is Popular
This game, it’s a big deal, I guess. Lots of folks playin’ it. They got all sorts of things online about it, tips and tricks and whatnot. It is a whole world, this video game. I remember when we just had that Pong game, with the two lines and the little ball. Now look at it. It’s like real life in there.
They say this PS2 volleyball game is one of the best sports games. High praise, indeed. I reckon if you’re into that sort of thing, you can’t go wrong with this one.
So, there you have it. That’s all I know about that volleyball game on the PS2. It is a whole lot of somethin’. If you like volleyball, or you like them video game things, then maybe you should give it a try. Or maybe just ask your grandkids about it. They’ll probably talk your ear off for hours. Now, where’d I put my knitting needles…?
