Well, let me tell you, I seen a thing or two in my day. This here Entertainment One logo, it’s somethin’ else. They call it eOne now, kinda like they’re too fancy for the whole name. Reminds me of when folks started callin’ my grandson “TJ” instead of Thomas Junior. Just shortenin’ things up, I reckon.

So, this whole shebang started way back. Back when I was a young’un, which was a long time ago. They say it was 1973, or maybe 1970, around that time, some folks started sellin’ records. They called it Records on Wheels, like them ice cream trucks, but with music, I guess. This was in Canada, mind you. I heard about it from my cousin, Millie. She always knows these things. She reads them fancy magazines. It’s all about that Entertainment One logo history, you see.
- Records on Wheels
- ROW Entertainment
- Entertainment One
They was just sellin’ records at first, like them records you put on that spinnin’ thing. Then, they started givin’ music to other stores, like a middleman. And the logo was different back then. They called the company ROW for a spell, back in the 1980s I think. It’s all part of that eOne logo story.
Time goes on, like it always does, nothin’ you can do to stop it. They changed their name again. Around 2005, they started callin’ it Entertainment One. Sounds important, don’t it? Like them big shots in the city. They was growin’ and doin’ all sorts of business, not just records anymore. And the logo, well, it changed too, naturally.
Now, this here Entertainment One logo, it’s simple, see? It’s just “eOne”. No fancy drawin’s or nothin’. Just letters. They got rid of the whole “Entertainment” part in the name they show around, but the company’s name is still Entertainment One. It’s all a bit confusin’, ain’t it? Like when my neighbor, Bessie, tells a story, you gotta piece it together yourself.
I heard they do movies now, and TV shows, all sorts of things. Big business, I reckon. They was a small fry at the start, but now, they’re like one of them big fish in the pond. And all them changes, with the names and what they do, it’s all tied to that logo. People see that eOne logo, and they know who it is.
They say this whole logo thing started way, way back, like in them olden times with kings and queens. They had them crests, like a picture that showed who you was. This eOne logo, it’s kinda like that, I guess. It tells you who they are, this Entertainment One company. They changed a lot over the years but I reckon they are doin’ well.

From what I gather, these fellas, Vito and Don Ierullo, they was the ones who started it all. Back when it was just Records on Wheels. Just a little music business, and now look at ’em. They were in Ontario, Canada, sellin’ records from their shop. I reckon it’s hard work runnin’ a business. My late husband, bless his soul, he used to say the same thing about farmin’.
Then they was called ROW Entertainment. Don’t ask me what ROW stood for, ’cause I don’t rightly know. Probably just the first letters of their old name, like they do. Then, boom, Entertainment One. Just like that. They kept buyin’ up other companies, gettin’ bigger and bigger. Like a snowball rollin’ down a hill, gettin’ bigger with every turn.
This logo business, it’s a big deal, I reckon. They say it helps folks remember you. Like a brand on a cow, you know who it belongs to. These eOne logo folks, they know what they’re doin’. They got it all figured out. I heard about other companies called Warner Bros. Discovery and Immina Films but that’s a whole other story.
Now, they’re into all sorts of entertainment. Not just music anymore. They even got toys and stuff. Like that Hasbro company, they’re all connected somehow. It’s all too much for this old lady to keep track of. But that eOne logo, that’s the thing that ties it all together. Like the thread in a quilt, keepin’ all the pieces in place.
So, there you have it. That’s the story of that Entertainment One logo, as best as I can tell it. It’s been a long and windin’ road, from Records on Wheels to this big eOne thing. Just goes to show, you never know where life will take you. You just gotta keep movin’ forward, one step at a time.
