Okay, so, I was trying to figure out when the volleyball season wraps up, right? It’s kind of a confusing mess because there are so many different leagues and levels.

First, I started by checking out the high school season. Seems like most of those games happen in the fall, usually starting in August or September. I looked at a few state athletic association websites, and they all showed the season ending around late October or early November with state championships.
- High school season: August/September – October/November
Then I moved on to college volleyball. That’s also a fall sport, mostly. The NCAA regular season goes from late August to around the end of November. Then, they have their big tournament in December to crown the national champs.
- College season: Late August – November (regular season), December (tournament)
But then it gets trickier! There’s also club volleyball, which a lot of people play. I dug around and found that club seasons are all over the place. Some start in the fall and go through the winter, while others run from winter to spring or even into the summer.
And don’t even get me started on the pro leagues! I tried to make sense of it, but it’s a whole other world. The pro seasons are different, and it also depends on whether you’re talking about indoor or beach volleyball.
So, basically, there isn’t one simple answer to when the volleyball season ends. It really depends on what level you’re looking at. You’ve got high school in the fall, college mostly in the fall with a December championship, club seasons all year round, and then the pro leagues doing their own thing.
My Little Summary
If you are specifically looking for high school or college, it is in the fall. But if you mean club volleyball, it’s pretty much a year-round deal. I ended up spending way more time on this than I thought I would, but I guess that’s how it goes when you dive into the internet black hole!
